| Welcome
to Autobet LUI
At Autobet
we've always liked to think of ourselves as innovators
and we were delighted to have been voted runner-up in
the 'Innovation of the Year' by Inside Edge magazine
back in 2004 for our original B1 and Pro software. In
order to continue in this vein we've looked to the more
mature financial exchanges for inspiration and Autobet
LUI takes the best from the leading edge financial
interfaces. Most of the financial interfaces now use
what's called a DOME system, which stands for Depth
Of Market Executor and which allows one-click trading
using a ladder interface. We believe that this is the
most efficient type of interface for trading and means
you'll have much more information available to you to
make your trading decisions that bit more accurate.
For instance, no other sports trading interface shows
you the complete Market
Depth, so you can see exactly where
the money is lurking outside the top three Bet and Lay
positions and no other interface has a 'Q'
Position allowing you to keep track
of where your bets and lays are in the money queue.
But before we describe our Ladder User
Interface in more detail just look
at the table below to see what LUI
offers compared to the rest - STW, Bet Angel and Bet
Trader Pro.

Although
the other software available all have their merits,
Autobet LUI makes trading so much simpler
and intuitive that the end result will be more profit.
See the screenshots below for the full low down. At
the bottom of the page there is also a link to a flash
demo of LUI in action.

This
is the Settings page into which you put your Betfair
Username and Password. This is saved so you only need
to do it once. Thereafter when the app is booted up,
you're logged in to your Betfair account automatically.
No info is sent to our server by the way. On this page
you can also setup your Pre-Sets for the 6 Bet or Lay
Amount buttons you'll find on the main interface.
1
allows you to set up your PH, or Partial Hedge Percentage.
This allows you to 'Go Green' but in a way that will
bias you towards one runner. For instance, if you've
traded a profit of £100 on one runner whose current
price is 5.0, then a normal Hedge would mean you'd Lay
that runner for £20 to create a 'Green' profit
on all the runners of £20. Clicking the PH button
on the main interface will allow you to alter that Hedge
Percentage. Say you set it at 50%, this would then mean
that instead of the £20 being layed at 5.0, only
£10 would be layed, so you'd be 'Green' for £10
on all the other runners and £50.00 on the runner
you'd layed.
2
is the MA or Moving Average line that will be used in
one of the graphs.

1
This is where you choose your market
2
Once you've chosen your market, all the runners appear
in the top window. The top line gives the market details
and a timed countdown if it will go in-play. A caption
appears when the market does go In-Play or is Closed
3
This light flashes with each refresh so you can see
when there are any Betfair freezes or problems with
your internet connection
4
This window shows you the runners with their 6 normal
Betfair price cells. The SP column shows you the number
of ticks Spread between the best Bet and Lay prices
5
The Mom column shows the Momentum figure which is simply
the amounts available on the Bet side divided by the
amounts available on the Lay side. This can give a short
term indication which way the market could be heading
6
Shows the current P/L for each selection in the market
7
TTM is short for 'Ticks To Market' and which shows the
number of ticks any of your open positions are to the
best market price
8
Double-clicking on any selection name will bring the
details for that selection into the bottom window
9
The top line shows useful info about the selection such
as its Name, the High and Low the selection has been
traded at, the Total Amount Matched on that selection,
the Percentage of the total market that selection has
taken, the size of any New Trade(s), and the Momentum
figure
10
These are the Pre-Set buttons you would have set up
on the Settings page. Besides the Pre-Set buttons there
is also a User-Input box where you can input any amount
you wish and click a button to activate that amount.
Whichever button is Green will be the currently active
Amount when you Bet or Lay
11
The Nett button always shows the amount you need to
use to trade-out of a position
12
FOK stands for 'Fill Or Kill' and the input is Time
in Seconds. If you activate FOK any bets or lays will
be offered for the time you set here and then any unmatched
portion will be cancelled
13
The H and PH stand for Hedge and Partial Hedge. These
buttons are used when you want to 'Go Green' by equalising
either the profit or loss you have built up on that
selection across all the selections in that market
14
This centralises the ladder interface vertically whenever
you need to
15
Activating this will allow you to see the floating graph
window for that runner
16
This shows the ladder interface with the full Market
Depth so you can see where all the money is available
for that selection. There is one caveat to this Market
Depth - Betfair do not update this regularly enough
for it always to reflect the true state of affairs.
We are encouraging them to provide this data as live
but at the moment the refresh isn't fast enough. That
said, it does give a really good indication of where
the money is. Clicking on ANY Blue cell will place a
bet (using the activated Pre-Set amount) at the adjacent
price and clicking on ANY Pink cell will offer a Lay
at the adjacent price.
17
This column shows any unmatched Bets. Any unmatched
Lays will be shown in the column next to the Pink column.
The cell can be dragged and dropped to anywhere else
on the ladder to move it or by clicking on it, it will
be cancelled. The red Cancel button will cancel ALL
unmatched bets
18
This shows our 'Q' number which keeps track of where
your unmatched amount is in the queue to be matched.
This is really a 'worst case scenario' in terms of how
much money may be ahead of you in the queue. In the
above example there is 111 in front of my bet
19
This is a graphical representation of where all the
money has been matched for that selection and shows
very clearly which prices have traded large volumes.
This can say a lot about the nature of that market
20
This column keeps track of the Profit or Loss you can
lock in after you have completed one side of a trade.
For instance, in the above example, I've already Layed
the selection for 50 at 4.8 (you can see the matched
amount at 21) in anticipation of the price moving out.
After the Lay had been matched the column on the left
showed the amounts I would lock in if the price of the
selection moved up or down to those respective prices.
I felt confident that the price would move out to 5.1
and so I clicked the cell with '15' showing. LUI then
Bet the correct amount in order to achieve that profit
and you can see the unmatched Bet waiting in the queue.
Sure enough the price did move out and I locked in the
15 profit. Eventually I built this up to around 45 with
a couple more trades and then Hedged my position for
a profit of around 9 no matter which selection won.
Not a fortune but a profit none the less. The nice thing
about this facility is that LUI makes all the calculations
for you, no matter what your position is. All you need
to do it to click on the respective cell. When the market
is volatile there often just isn't enough time to do
the calculations yourself. With LUI, its just click
and go

1
This is the main price graph which shows the Bet price
in Blue, the MA (length of which is set up on the Settings
page) in Red and a Green envelope. This envelope is
a standard Bollinger Band envelope for those who are
familiar with financial graphing packages
2
This shows Traded volumes which is extremely useful
in guaging which way the price is likely to move
3
This is a standard MACD graph which we're experimenting
with. I've had a lot of success using the MACD trading
financial instruments so I'm trying it out with Betfair
markets. This may or may not be useful !!
Because
I believe Volume to be an under rated and highly important
element in Betfair markets I'm currently working on
a Candlestick version of the above graphs which, when
used with Volume, should provide some very useful directional
information. It's early days when it comes to graphing
Betfair markets so we're still feeling our way to see
which indicators do and do not work. Bear with us. What
you can be assured of though is that we're experimenting
all the time and will being out upgrades when we find
something significant
We'll
also be uploading some videos soon so you can see LUI
in action
We
believe Autobet LUI (which we pronounce 'looee') is
a great step forward in sports exchange interfaces.
Of course it won't be for everyone but for active traders
it has some great features which will enable you to
maximise your own trading ability
All
this for just a one-off payment of £250. No monthly
subscriptions or added costs. And for current Autobet
users we've got some even better deals. For B1 users
LUI is £200 and for Pro users LUI is only £50.
